Discover a Path to Wellbeing
Welcome! I’m glad you are here. Perhaps you have been in therapy before, or maybe this is the first time you are feeling ready to take the leap. If you are a first-timer, you might be feeling nervous about all the unknowns. That makes sense. My job is to work with you to create a therapy that works for you.
My Approach
In the jargon of the field, my practice is relational, psychodynamic, somatically-informed, and influenced by IFS (Internal Family Systems) and mindfulness practices.
This means that I am fascinated by the links between our childhoods and the way we relate to people when we are adults. I believe that we are shaped by our relationships in ways that are often hard to see. We tend to not-see parts of ourselves that are contributing to our distress.
In practical terms, my goal is to help reduce pain, increase joy, and create strategies for managing life’s challenges more productively and compassionately.
A therapeutic relationship is a very effective place to facilitate change. A relationship with a therapist is unlike any other relationship—it is a confidential, judgement-free zone; a place to experience the full (and often conflicting) spectrum of feelings that flow through us every day.
